Dorothy Mae Plumadore

Dorothy Mae Plumadore, age 97, died on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at her residence in Brunswick, NY. Born on May 10, 1909 in Saranac, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Amelia Rascoe Facteau. Mrs. Plumadore worked as a fur buyer for Denby’s and Peerless in Troy, NY and Montgomery Wards in Menands, NY, retiring from Montgomery Wards in 1974.

She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Church in Troy. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Leo J. Plumadore who died in 1994. She is survived by two daughters, M. Winifred (the late Leo) Pelletier of Wynantskill, NY and Rita Aileen (the late James J. Sr.) Clinton of Cold Springs, her grandchildren, Thomas (Denise) Plumadore, James (Julie) Plumadore, Mark Plumadore, Michele (Don) Nicklas, Renee (Mike) Darcy, Danielle (Kevin) Liberty, James J. (Christine) Clinton Jr., Christine (Donald “Skip”) Frasier

and Suzanne (Jim) Hansen, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Plumadore was predeceased by a son, H. Leo Plumadore, a sister, Lula Lejeune, a brother, Clifford Facteau, a daughter-in-law, Madeline Plumadore and two sons-in-law, James J. Clinton Sr. and Leo P. Pelletier.

The funeral was from the Thomas S. Connolly Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Rd., Wynantskill, NY on Monday, December 18, 2006 and at from St. Francis de Sales Church, Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy.

Calling hours were at the funeral home on Sunday, December 17, 2006. Contributions to the Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144 in memory of Mrs. Plumadore would be appreciated.
