Anthony D. Benecasa

A Celebration of Life for Anthony D. "Benji" Benecasa, 58 of Daytona Beach who passed away on Thursday February 1, 2007 at the home of his brother Mickey in Ormond Beach was held on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach, 733 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond, FL. with his brother in law Rev. Donald Foster officiating.

Anthony was born August 22, 1948 in Cold Spring, the son of Dominic and Concetta Fusto Benecasa. Surviving him are his mother, Concetta, 2 brothers, Dominic A. Benecasa, Joseph W. Benecasa, 3 sisters, Rosemarie and husband, Donald Foster, Catherine and husband Bill Mahodil, and Christine and husband Art Bertalan. He graduated from Haldane High School, Cold Spring, and attended Dutchess Community College.

Benji owned and operated Anthony's Limousine service in Westchester County for 15 years. He was a self employed blues musician as a drummer in the NYC area. He came to Florida in 2000. He worked as a driver for Auto Zone for three years. He was also a blues musician in the Daytona Beach area. He belonged to The Daytona Beach Blues Society. He was an avid Hot Rodder, owning an antique GTO. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast enjoying his Harley Davidson.

Benji had a great sense of humor and will be missed by his family and friends. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com.
