Legislative minutes posting to website again postponed
Board of Elections Commissioners Robert Bennett and Anthony Scannapieco attended the March 15, 2007 meeting of the Putnam County Legislature's Rules Committee, asked there to address the possibility of holding a public hearing on the choice of voting machines. By meeting's end, any possibility of a public hearing in the foreseeable future had been quashed. Full Story

Congressman John Hall Attends Haldane Snow Ball
The Haldane School Foundation's annual Snow Ball capped off winter on a bright note, raising more than $30,000 to be used for grants and enrichment initiatives at Haldane Central School.

Town Board Appoints Members to CAC and Recreation Commission
Amber Stickle returns as Recreation Supervisor
At the March 14, 2007 weekly Town Board workshop, the Philipstown Town Board approved a title change for the Town's budget assistant Susan Kenney at the direction of Putnam County Personnel Director Paul Eldridge. Kenney's official title, which had been Community Liaison, will now be Town Comptroller. This position better encompasses the duties performed by Kenney, according to Eldridge's office. Full Story
