Sense of Place Photography Exhibit at Wild Wood Gallery
When does a landscape image move beyond the ordinary and impart an intuitive connection to a particular locale? Wild Wood Gallery's upcoming exhibit, Sense of Place, will bring to their viewers many different examples of this deeper level of witness as seen through the eyes of six different photographers. Located at 442 Main Street in Beacon, the show will run from August 11 until September 2. The Artists Reception will be held on August 11 from 5 -9pm in conjunction with Beacon's Second Saturday Art Along the Hudson event.
The six participating artists are Chris Jordan, Kathryn Schlesinger, Robert Rodriguez, Cece Fabbro, Jane Marcy, and Bill Jagde. While their residences span the height and breadth of the Hudson Valley region, their images are both local and from far afield. Each artist clearly has a deep respect and love of the natural world and through their own personal vision they capture and bring to us vignettes of the land that speaks to them. Wild Wood Gallery hours are Friday through Sunday from 12-6pm or by appointment. For more information call 845-831-0333 or visit wildwoodgallery.org
