Mildred S. Baker

Mildred S. Baker passed away on October 7, 2007 in Iola, KS. She was born on May 29, 1925 in Albany to Clarence Higby and Helen Mildred (Dean) Stafford. She grew up in Willsboro, NY, and graduated from Willsboro High School. In 1947 she married Ernest Baker. They made their home in Cold Spring. They retired in 1975, at Rangeley, Maine. They then moved to Alabama, followed by California. Mr. Baker died in 2003, and she moved to Kansas in 2004. She is survived by her son, Ernest and his wife, Patricia, of Rochester, NY, daughters Deborah Jackson and her husband, David, of Iola, and Victoria Baker of Staten Island, as well as her sister, Rebecca, of NC, 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Services are to be held in Iowa, followed by burial in Californial.
