Tax Bills Sent to Garrison and North Highland Fire Districts Are in Error
Residents in the Garrison and North Highlands Fire Districts who received their tax bills this past week can temporarily disregard those notices. On Tuesday, January 2, 2007, Philipstown Town Clerk Tina Merando told the PCN&R that there was an error in the tax rates and amounts for those two districts on the bills which were generated by the County Office of Real Property. Ms. Merando said that the Office is preparing revised bills that will be sent out to property owners by the end of the week. Taxpayers should wait for those bills, which she will clearly mark “revised” before making their payments.
