Friends of Tots Park Invites Volunteers to Join Their Group
The Tiny Tots Play Park at McConville Park is an invaluable fixture in the Village of Cold Spring. Beyond its role as a playground for the youngest members of our community, it is a gathering place where friendships, both adult and child, are formed and memories are made, all in a safe and idyllic setting. The park would not exist in its current state and location without the past efforts of parents and residents who recognized its importance. The Friends of the Tots Park would like to invite interested volunteers to join our group and continue to improve and maintain this special place.
The group was formed and led by supportive parents whose children have, over time, outgrown the playground. It is time for the next generation of toddler and preschool parents to take over where they left off. Their first meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 23 at 4pm at the home of Eugenie Milroy Parrella at 1 Craigside Drive, Cold Spring. At the meeting they will discuss the current state of the playground (a condition survey is being carried out), and prioritize future improvements and appropriate allocation of existing group funds. They will also set a Spring cleanup date and brainstorm upcoming fundraising activities.
