On Saturday, January 20, at 10am, the Museum of the Hudson Highlands presents, "The Earth Rocks! Great Garnet and Fantastic Fossils." Spend the morning discovering amazing information about treasures of the earth at the Museum's Kenridge Farm Location, at Route 9W, Cornwall.
Have you ever seen the Eurypterid, the New York State Fossil? Did you know that garnet is not only January's birthstone but also, it is the New York State Mineral? The largest garnet mine in the world is right here in New York! Come learn more facts about rocks and fossils. Finish up by creating your own Garnet bracelet or key chain to take home.
