Jewish Film Festival at Temple Beth-El
The Mid Winter Jewish Film Festival returns to Temple Beth- El on Sunday, January 14, 2007, presenting the 2004 film Watermarks. Watermarks is the story of champion women swimmers who escaped Vienna in 1938 when the Nazis shut down the Jewish athletic club Hakoah Vienna. Told by the swimmers sixty-five years later, the film is about a group of young girls with a passion to be the best. Screening is promptly at 4pm at Temple Beth-El, 118 Grand Ave, Poughkeepsie.
