Marathon Battery Property Perfect Solution to Parking Issue
(Reprinted at the request of the author) Dear County Executive Bondi,
Our Main Street has been plagued with poor parking. In order to invest in business expansion it is important to address the infrastructure needs of the businesses. Too many times there are so many weekends in the year where we experience three to five thousands tourists and visitors. And while the trolley has improved the ability for those visitors who arrive by train, many who drive are frustrated and often put off by the time limit on parking when they receive tickets.
The Marathon Battery property as proposed in the Legislature's vote is the perfect solution to our longstanding parking issue.
Our merchants and businesses contribute to the tax base of the county and the county needs to support our small businesses that represent one of the mainstays of our community.
As Chamber president, I look forward to growing healthy businesses and a thriving Main Street.
