Marathon Project is an Answer to Seniors' Prayers
(reprinted at the request of the author) Dear Mr. Bondi,

I am a senior in Garrison, who has been involved with many seniors of Western Putnam County. I was elated when I read about the Marathon Battery property being bought for a Senior Center building project. We now have a sub-standard facility for nutrition and we "rent" a senior meeting roonm at Chestnut Ridge, which we are bursting at our seams. We have to go to the "firehouse" for our flu shots. When is it going to be our turn for a nice center?

If "your" mom was living here, you would want her to have better!

The county has been battling with Hudson Valley Hospital for years to no avail - this "Marathon Project" is an answer to our prayers. Please - please - please don't reject this project.
