Skill-Building Series on Managing Defiant Behavior Offered by Mental Health Association

The Mental Health Association in Dutchess County, 510 Haight Avenue, Poughkeepsie, is now accepting registrations for the 9 session skill-building series, "Managing Defiant Behavior". The course will be held at the Arlington Branch Library located at 504 Haight Avenue in Poughkeepsie, beginning, February 1 to March 22, 2007, on Thursday mornings, 9:30 to 11:30am.

This education program was developed to help parents of children ages 2 to 11 improve understanding of childhood behavior, expand parental management skills, and improve child compliance to commands and rules. There is no fee for the 9-week course; however, a donation of $35 per family is suggested. Pre-registration is required. The course will be taught by Marlene Taylor, M.P.S., Education and Training Coordinator, of the Mental Health Association in Dutchess County.

For further information or to register, please call Ms. Taylor at 473-2500, ext. 309. Enrollment is limited.
