Special Afternoon Session of Putnam Hospital Center's Diabetes Support & Education Group on Jan. 23
A special session of Putnam Hospital Center's free Diabetes Support & Education Group will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd, from 2 to 3:30pm, in the ground floor cafe classrooms at the hospital, located at 670 Stoneleigh Avenue in Carmel.
"Taking Control" will be presented by A1C Champion Garland Stephens, a diabetic who will share his personal experiences and helpful insights on successfully managing diabetes. Attendees are invited to learn how to live a healthier life from a `real person' with diabetes who has `walked in their shoes.'
Family and friends are welcome to attend meetings of the free Diabetes Support & Education Group, which is designed to teach individuals how to keep their diabetes under control and to live a healthier life. The meetings provide participants with an opportunity to hear from knowledgeable professionals and to network with others who have diabetes.
