Cold Spring Lions Club's Senior Christmas Party Filled With Good Cheer

Ladies Choir from the Walter Hoving Home singing at the Seniors Christmas party, accompanied by Catherine Portman-Laux on the piano.
The Cold Spring Lions Club held their annual Senior Christmas party on Saturday, December 9, 2006 at the Methodist Church in Cold Spring.

The M&T Bank sent a generous donation, which helped to make the party a special event.

A delightful dinner was prepared by Jerry Moore, Graymoor's chef. The Haldane Leos helped to serve the holiday dinner. Music was enjoyed during dinner with Bob Bengis playing the piano. The Ladies Choir from the Walter Hoving Home entertained, singing Christmas songs accompanied by Catherine Portman-Laux on the piano. Jerry Harrington was Santa, who called out all the numbers for prizes and the Haldane Leos presented gifts to every senior.

Carlson Nursery donated beautiful poinsettias, which were used for some of the prizes. Other prizes were donated by Pete's Home Town Grocery, Dorothy Gilman, Vera and Doug Logan, Cathy Greenough, David Lilburne, Betty and Mackey Budney and the Cold Spring Lions Club.
