Upcoming SeniorNet Computer Classes Available at Putnam Valley Sr. Ctr.

Local seniors can still take beginner and advanced computer classes by calling SeniorNet Coordinator Cathy O'Brian at 845-628-6423.

The following classes will be given at the Putnam Valley Office for Aging SeniorNet:

#202 Intermediate Word Processing: Reinforce skills learned in #201 and learn editing and formatting features of the "WORD" program. This class and #203 are recommended for creating newsletters and bulletins. Given Wednesdays, February 14, 21,28 and April 4.

-#101 Computer Fundamentals: For the computer novice. Learn basic computer skills and word processing. Given Fridays, Feb. 9, 16, 23. March 2,

-#201 Introduction to Word Processing: Focuses on Word Processing using "MS WORD". Learn the basics of the "WORD" program, text editing and graphic insertion.(Given Wednesdays, Feb. 7, 14, 21, 28)

-#301 Internet and Email Basics: Teaches basic "net surfing" and sending and responding to email using Internet Explorer and the YAHOO! email service. Given Mondays, Feb. 26, March 5, 12, 19.

The above courses still have openings. Please call Coordinator Cathy O'Brien at the above number if interested. Putnam Valley SeniorNet classes have only six students in each class with three coaches and an instructor. These classes are especially suited for senior citizens. Putnam Valley SeniorNets also offer practice opportunities at convenient times with a SeniorNet member answering questions and aiding the student toward proficiency. Be part of the "information generation". Learn to use the computer and enjoy the many opportunities it offers in information, stimulation, and reaching out to others.
