PV Parks & Rec to Offer Winter Lacrosse Camp

The Putnam Valley Parks & Recreation Department is sponsoring a winter recess lacrosse camp for area youngsters between grades 3-6 at the Putnam Valley Middle School. Former Springfield All-American and current Fox Lane coach Brian Dalton will anchor a staff of area lacrosse stars, who have devised a game-plan to prepare youngsters for the upcoming spring season.

"It's designed to essentially shake off the rust and give the lacrosse player something to do over the break," said Ray Gallagher, sports programming director for the Town of Putnam Valley. "Coach Dalton is great with kids and his knowledge of lacrosse is well known in this area. The kids are getting a great deal here, and it should help them to get ready for the spring season. If your kids play lacrosse on any level, from novice to cream of the crop, this is a no-brainer."

The deal includes a $100 program fee, with the show running for three, six-hour days, including Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 20-22 from 9am to 3pm. The program is limited to the first 50 boys to sign up and the deadline to register is February 2nd. For more information call the Putnam Valley Parks & Recreation office at 526-3292.
