Newly Ordained Priest to Celebrate Mass at Graymoor

Oratorian Father Anthony D. Andreassi, who currently teaches religion and history at Regis High School in New York City, will be presider and homilist at the Sunday Eucharist in Pilgrim Hall, Graymoor, on Sunday, February 4th, at 11am.

Son of Domenic and Elisa Andreassi of White Plains, he was ordained a priest on January 13, 2007 by Most Reverend Frank J. Caggiano, auxiliary bishop of Brooklyn.

Born in Yonkers and educated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, Elmsford, and Archbishop Stepinac High School, White Plains, Father Andreassi earned a B.A. in philosophy from The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC, and completed theological studies at St. Joseph's Seminary, Yonkers, NY. Leaving before ordination, he earned a Ph.D. in American history at Georgetown University while teaching at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC. In 2004, he joined the Congregation of the Oratory, a religious congregation of priests and brothers founded in Rome in 1575.

The public is cordially invited to the mass. Graymoor, motherhouse and world headquarters of the Franciscan Friars and Sisters of the Atonement, is located on Route 9 in Garrison, five miles north of Peekskill and 11 miles south of I-84. For more information, call 845-424-3671 ext. 2111.
