After School Programs at Museum of Hudson Highlands Focus on Animal Habitats and Snow Facts

| Beginning Tuesday, February 20 and Wednesday, February 21, the Museum of the Hudson Highlands begins two separate six-week after-school programs that teach kids about the environment of the Hudson Highlands. Learning takes place in and outside the classroom with Pathfinders for K through 2nd graders and Explorers for 3rd through 5th graders.
Pathfinders: February 20 through March 27: Gotta Have a Habitat. Children in K to 2nd grade will learn what an animal habitat is and explore them all. Come investigate who is awake in the forest, field and pond. The class meets from 3:45pm- 5:15pm at Kenridge Farm, Rte 9W, Cornwall. The cost is $80. Museum members: $70. Classes: February 20, 27, March 6, 13, 20, 27.
Explorers: February 21 through March 28. What do you know about snow? Children in 3rd to 5th grade will learn how animals use snow as shelter and what other kinds of names the Eskimos used for snow. Come build a shelter of your own! The class meets from 3:45pm - 5:15pm at Kenridge Farm, Rte 9W, Cornwall. The cost is $80. Museum members: $70. Classes: February 21, 28, March 7, 12, 21, 28.
