Romantic Roses With an Afternoon Tea at Kenridge Farm

On Saturday, February 10, from 2-4pm the Museum of the Hudson Highlands will be getting everyone into the Valentines Day mood with an afternoon tea at the Kenridge Farm Location, Route 9W, Cornwall.

Come to the historic farmhouse to relax and enjoy samples of rose hip teas, scones with rosehip jam and jelly, and tasty rose hip bread. Following refreshments, there will be a lecture and slide show presentation: "Gardening with Native and Antique shrub roses" presented by Chris Maciel, Gurda Krogslund and Sheila Kasier, Master Gardener Volunteers, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County. If you think roses are too high maintenance, these roses may change your mind!

This lovely afternoon will end with a demonstration on decorating with dried roses. Recommended for adults and children over 12 years old. Cost: $8. Members: $6. Pre-registration is required. Limited Space. Call 534-5506 ext. 204.
