WIC Can Help Feed You and Your Children Right From the Start
The Putnam County Health Department's Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program is a community nutrition program that provides FREE, healthy foods for pregnant women, women who are breastfeeding, and infants and children who are under the age of five years. WIC provides foods women and children need every day for good health. WIC foods include cereal, milk, eggs, cheese, beans, peas, peanut butter, juice and infant formula.
The WIC Program helps those individuals who are struggling financially to feed their children better. To be eligible for WIC, applicants must meet income guidelines, live in New York State, and/or have a child below the age of five years old. The Putnam County WIC offices are located at 1 Geneva Road and 121 Main Street in Brewster.
Please call the WIC Office at (845) 278-6678 or (845) 278- 9204 to find out if you or your children are eligible. Spanish speaking staff is available at both locations.
