The Amazing World of Damselflies and Dragonflies at Painter's Tavern

Join the Museum of the Hudson Highlands on Thursday, February 15, at 7:30pm at Painter's Tavern, Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, for a Winter Evening Speakers Series: The World of Damselflies and Dragonflies. Larry Federman, an Audubon educator, describes himself as a "dyed in the wool birder who has embraced the study of odonates" (damselflies and dragonflies). After birds have settled down for the day, the odonates take to the air. This illustrated PowerPoint presentation will introduce an amazing and wonderful world. It will include basic odonate biology, an overview of odonate families, and an introduction to the NYS Damselfly and Dragonfly Survey, an extremely rewarding project in which the Museum has participated.

All Evening Speakers Series events take place on Thursdays at 7:30pm. There is limited seating. General admission is $7, Museum members $4. For more information, call (845) 534-5506, ext. 204, or visit
