Pancake Breakfast at Kenridge Farm
 | | Enjoying pancakes at the Museum's Farmhouse |
| The Museum of the Hudson Highlands is holding its Annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, February 25, from 9am until 1pm at the Museum's Farmhouse on Route 9W in Cornwall. Come enjoy pancakes, sausage, orange juice, coffee, and real maple syrup. Cost: $6 for adults and $4 for children (ages 3-10).
This year the breakfast is generously sponsored by Sotheby's and proceeds will go towards the Museum's environmental education programs. All groups larger than 10 must have reservations: Call 534-5506, ext. 204.
The Pancake Breakfast takes place during the time when Educators at the Museum tap the maple trees in the sugarbush for sap. The sap is then evaporated and turned into syrup. The public can see the maple syrup process in action for five weekends at the Maple Sugar Tours on Saturday and Sundays from February 17 until March 18. The tours begin at 11:30am and end at 3pm (On February 25th, there will be earlier tours for which Pancake Breakfast attendees can purchase tickets if they wish.)
Tours begin every half hour and include a 45-minute walk into the sugarbush. The public is asked to dress warmly and wear boots. The cost for the tours is $7. Museum members $5. Maple Sugar Tours are at the Museum's Kenridge Farm location on Route 9W in Cornwall. For further information call (845) 534-5506, ext. 204, or go to the Museum website at www.museumhudsonhighlands.org
