Diabetes and Heart Disease Focus of Putnam Hospital Center's Support Group
An afternoon session of Putnam Hospital Center's free Diabetes Support & Education Group will be held on Tuesday, February 27th, at 3pm, in the ground floor cafe classrooms at the hospital, located at 670 Stoneleigh Avenue in Carmel.
"Getting to the Heart of Diabetes" will be presented by PHC cardiologist Glenn Boyar, MD, FACC, of Comprehensive Cardiac Care. The relationship between diabetes and heart disease and what can be done to decrease risk factors will be discussed. Light refreshments will be served.
Family and friends are welcome to attend meetings of the free Diabetes Support & Education Group, which is designed to teach individuals how to keep their diabetes under control and to live a healthier life. The meetings provide participants with an opportunity to hear from knowledgeable professionals and to network with others who have diabetes.
