Hawaiian Luau at Putnam Valley Friendship Center
On Tuesday, January 30, 2007, an old-fashioned Hawaiian Luau Picnic was held at the Putnam Valley Friendship Center in the middle of the winter. Seniors wearing festive shirts and grass skirts enjoyed an abundance of summer-time foods, including hot dogs and hamburgers, bean salad, delicious deserts, rolls and bagels!
The Friendship Center was decorated with Sun-n-Surf decorations of tropical trees, colorful fishes and surf boards.The entertainment was lively and seniors enjoyed dancing to the tropical beat, as well as oldies but goodies!
