Preserving Quality of Life During Serious Illness: a Presentation at Desmond- Fish Library
On February 20, from 7-8pm, Alan Stein, Founder and President of Chrysallis, will offer a free public seminar on preserving quality of life within families and among friends after someone receives a serious, potentially life-altering, diagnosis.
After he reviews the often confusing feelings that arise when hopes for a successful resolution collide with fears of its failure, Stein will suggest practical ways that everyone involved can effectively respond to its tumult while each maintains sufficient emotional resources. Lastly, he will compare Chrysallis with dedicated end-of-life care programs, including Hospice, and will suggest when each may prove most useful.
The program will be held at the Desmond-Fish Library in Garrison. Light refreshments will be provided. Additional information is available from Chrysallis at 845-790-3367.
