Putnam Valley Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant
At about 9:30pm on February 3, 2007, Putnam County Deputy Sheriff Brian Aisenstat responded to the Lake Drive residence of Paul Grant, 61, to take him into custody on the outstanding warrant, Putnam County Sheriff Don Smith reports.
The warrant was issued by the Town of Yorktown Justice Court for a charge of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Third Degree, as well as traffic summonses for operating an uninsured, unregistered, uninspected vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident. The defendant was processed and subsequently turned over to the Town of Yorktown Police Department.
The AUO charge is a class A misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and a maximum fine of $1,000. The traffic summonses are punishable by court determined fines.
