County Legislature Seeks Applicants for 2 Plumbing and Home Improvement Boards

The Putnam County Legislature is seeking candidates for two of the County's oversight boards. There is a two-year term open for the contractor representative on the Home Improvement Board and two vacant positions on the Plumbing & Mechanical Trades Board.

Qualified applicants who are primarily engaged in business as a Home Improvement must be residents of Putnam County. The Board meets monthly on the second Thursday of every month. Anyone interested in serving on this volunteer Board should call the Putnam County Office of Consumer Affairs at (845) 225-2039.

Openings on the Plumbing & Mechanical Trades Board currently exist for one citizenrepresentative and for a plumber with a minimum of 4 years experience (journeyman) who is not a licensed Master Plumber or for a building inspector. The citizen representative's term is for one year. The plumber/ building inspector's term is for three years. Applicants must be residents of Putnam County. Anyone interested should submit a resume to the Putnam County Plumbing & Mechanical Trades Board, Donald B. Smith Government Campus, 110 Old Route 6, Carmel, New York 10512.
