February 15 is Last Chance to Get Free Flu Shot
There have been several laboratory confirmed cases of flu in Putnam County as of the beginning of February. It's not too late to receive a free flu shot.
The Putnam County Department of Health will be holding the last public flu clinic for persons 9 years of age and older at the Putnam County Department of Health, 1 Geneva Road in Brewster on Thursday, February 15, 2007 from 9:30am - 4:30pm. No appointment is necessary and there is no charge for the vaccine. A doctor's prescription will be required for pregnant women.
Pneumonia vaccine will also be available free to those residents over 65 years of age. For residents under 65 years, a doctor's prescription is required and a $25 fee will be charged.
