Senator Leibell Earns Finance Committee Assignment
Senator Vincent L. Leibell (40th District) announced his new assignment as a member of the Senate Standing Committee on Finance. This influential committee plays a critical role in reviewing and negotiating the New York State Budget.
"As a member of the Finance Committee, I will work with my colleagues in the Senate and Assembly to make sure that the residents of New York State have a responsible, fair and balanced budget." In January of 2007, Senator Leibell became the new Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs. Additionally, Senator Leibell is also a member of the following committees: Aging; Civil Service and Pensions; Environmental Conservation; Housing, Construction and Community Development; and Insurance.
