Students are Encouraged to Apply for Philip Baumgarten Memorial Scholarship

The Philip Baumgarten Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a Philipstown High School Senior at the Awards Dinner in March. High school seniors residing in the area of Cold Spring, Continental Village, Garrison, Nelsonville, or Putnam Valley, regardless of the high school they attend, public or private, are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

The scholarship will be awarded to a student who has shown community spirit and commitment by volunteering for a Philipstown nonprofit or charitable organization and/or by working for or with a local business, if possible a Chamber member.

Please encourage any students that may work with your business or organization to apply. Students may visit the website at www.coldspringchamber.com

for the application. Deadline is February 26, 2007.

The Scholarship Committee consists of Nat Prentice, Gillian Thorpe, Michelle Folster Tomlins, Suzi Tortora and Jonathan Kruk
