Reception for Artist David Lumia at East Fishkill Library
Meet local artist David Lumia on Friday, March 2, 2007 at 7pm at East Fishkill Library. Lumia, a graduate of SUNY New Paltz was trained as an art teacher, and his work involves aspects of both surrealism and realism
Although each piece holds its own characteristics, each tells its own story. Lumia illustrates these stories using dreams, past experiences and the experience of others as inspiration, working from simple sketches, photographs and live models. Working in oil, his work often features portraiture and the human figure. He states " Ever since I could hold a pencil, I've been interested in art"
Regular business hours on Friday are 10-6. The Library will reopen at 7pm for the reception. (Sorry, no other library business will be transacted at that time). Please register online at
