Haldane Faculty Association Collects for Food Pantry
As a part of NYSUT's 2007 Food Drive, The Haldane Faculty Association worked hard to collect food, household items and money to donate to the Philipstown Food Pantry, here in Cold Spring. The Philipstown Food Pantry supports approximately 29 families in Putnam County. It is through the help of those in the community that those families get a lot of what they need.
The H.F.A. collected from January 16 through February 2, 2007 and was able to donate approximately 100 pounds of food/household items and $160 for the church to distribute to those who are in need.
The teachers were proud to be a part of this local collection and plan to continue working with the Philipstown Food Pantry in the future.
