Tuba Concert at Holy Innocents Church

The 2006-2007 Stained- Glass Concert Series presents Scott Beaver on Tuba, Sunday, March 4, 7pm at Holy Innocents Church in Highland Falls.

Staff Sergeant Scott Beaver joined the U.S. Military Academy Band in May of 2005. Prior to joining the band, Scott was a member of the New Mexico Brass Quintet. He holds an undergraduate degree from Tennessee Tech University, where he studied with R. Winston Morris, and is currently finishing his Master's degree at the University of New Mexico where he studies with Karl Hinterbichler. The fortyfive minute concert he will present on March 4 reflects his "master's recital." He is a recent winner of the University of New Mexico Concerto Competition, the Arapahoe Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, as well as the top wind player in the Kingsville Concerto Competition.

SSG Beaver will be accompanied by Michael Fennelly on piano.

A freewill offering benefiting the historic stained-glass restoration will be accepted. A reception follows the concert. For more information please call, 446-2197.
