Cold Spring's Main St. to Welcome Spring with Fashion and Home Design Week
Western Putnam Economic Development Council Marketing Committee to sponsor this new end-of-April event

"We are excited to be welcoming spring's return with this festive celebration," said Teri Barr, owner of Hudson Valley Outfitters and Shoefitters, one of the event's organizers. The week will present area fashion, hair design, personal accessory, home design, home decor, landscape, real estate, and floral businesses.

Area restaurants will feature informal modeling by participating clothing and accessory stores. Models will have their hair and makeup done by participating beauty salons. Florists and home decor businesses will also have displays in restaurants. On Saturday, April 28th and Sunday, April 29th, the festivities will include sidewalk tented displays on Main Street by architects, interior decorators, landscape designers, realtors and other home related businesses.

"Cold Spring's Main Street is a great place to find out how much this area has to offer in fashion, grooming, great meals, and home design expertise," Timothy Chevtaikin of Archipelago, another of the event's organizers, said. Fashion and Home Design Week will be advertised in Hudson Valley Magazine, Chronogram Magazine, tri-county newspapers, and radio. A program will be available 2 weeks before the event.

Marilyn Heberling of Art to Wear, the event's third organizer, is pleased with the community's participation. "There are 30 businesses participating to date, and plenty of creativity and enthusiasm going into what we hope will be a yearly tradition," she said. For further information or a participation form , interested businesses can contact Marilyn Heberling at Art To Wear, 265- 4469; Teri Barr at Hudson Valley Outfitters, 265-0221, or Timothy Chevtaikin at Archipelago, 265-3992.
