Westchester Man Charged with Driving with License Suspended
Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the February 20th arrest of a City of Peekskill resident after he was discovered to be driving despite having his driving privileges suspended.
At about 4:15 p.m. on February 20th, Deputy Sheriff Jason Quick responded to a report of an erratic driver on Route 9 in the area of Route 301. Braulio Vele, 34, of Smith Street, Peekskill was observed by the deputy driving in an erratic manner. He conducted a vehicle stop. A computer check determined that Mr. Vele's license was suspended. He was arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd. The defendant was processed at the scene and released on his own recognizance. The defendant has a pending court appearance In Town of Philipstown Court.
