Salvatore Frisenda

Salvatore Frisenda, a lifelong resident of Cold Spring, died Tuesday, February 27th, at the age of 82. He was the son of the late Joseph and Benedetta (Giachinta) Frisenda. He served with the 749th in the US Army during WWII and was a member of VFW Post 2362. He was a retired Teamster, Local 445, Newburgh, and a 50-year member of the Cold Spring Fire Company.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Antoinette (Menga) Frisenda and their two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Diane and Carl and Denise, all of Cold Spring. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Anthony, Matthew, Granite, Ceara, and Logan, as well as many nieces and nephews. Survivors also include his two brothers, Anthony of Beacon and Joseph of Wappingers Falls, and three sisters, Santa Ferrara and Josephine Pidala of Cold Spring and Connie Verdile of Beacon. He was predeceased by his sister, Bernice DiMarco.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, March 2, 2007 at Our Lady of Loretto Church, Cold Spring.
