William H. Delaney
William H. Delaney, age 67, a lifetime resident of Philipstown, NY died on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at HVHC in Cortlandt Manor. Born in Cold Spring, on July 3, 1939, he was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Bocchino) Delaney.
Mr. Delaney was a Lab Supervisor for Mearl Corp., retiring in 2000 after 42 years. He was also the owner/operator of Post Road Hardware in Philipstown since 1985, and a member of the Cold Spring Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Talbot) Delaney of the home address, three brothers, Joseph Delaney of Garrison, James Delaney of Beacon, and Robert Delaney of Beacon, and three sons, William, John, and Brian Delaney. One sister, Dorothy Gaine, predeceased him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 9, 2007 at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair St. Cold Spring, at 10am. Interment will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery. Friends may call at the Clinton Funeral Home, Cor. of Parrott & Pine Sts. (21 Parrott St) Cold Spring, on Thursday, March 8, from 2-4 and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
