Constitution Island Announces Their Upcoming Tours and Events

Constitution Island has announced their schedule for the upcoming season. On June 21st public tours begin to the Island from South Dock, West Point every Wednesday and Thursday, at 1pm and 2pm, through September 27. Boat ride to the island, guided house tours and Revolutionary War trail hike. Call the Association's office for reservations. $10 per adult. Children under 6 free. On June 23 the Island will host their Seafood Gala, open to the public. Lobster, clams,fried chicken, salad, corn on the cob and dessert. Music. Purchase tickets in advance from the Association office. Ticket price $140 per person. Transportation will be offered from the Cold Spring train Station Parking Lot from 5-9pm.

On July 28 Garden Day will be celebrated. Admire the Warner Gardens. Horticulturists, and garden club displays. Exhibits connected to gardening, such as a beekeeper and his wares. River boat rides. Guided house tours and Revolutionary War trail hike. Enter from the Cold Spring Train Station 10am to 3pm. Admission is $10 per adult. Children under 6 are free.

August 25/26 is Reenactment Weekend. Civil War reenactors camp on the island and give various demonstrations of military activities. Boat Rides. The West Point army mules visit. Feed the mules peppermints. Guided house tours and Revolutionary War trail walk. This weekend is a favorite with parents with young children. 10:am to 3pm each day. Enter from the Cold Spring train station parking lot. $10 per adult. Children under 6 free. Group rates available. September 29 Family Day. Guided house tours and Revolutionary War trail hikes. Boat rides, picnicking, exhibitions, live birds of prey, horse and carriage rides, food and general enjoyment. 10am- 3pm from the Cold Spring train station parking lot. $10 per adult.Chldren under 6 free. Group rates available.
