Billy Thom Honored at Science and Engineering Fair
Cold Spring resident Billy Thom was awarded the Ciba Specialty Chemicals - Celebration of Excellence in Science Award in Behavioral Science at the Westchester Science and Engineering Fair at Pace University this past Saturday. The all-day fair, which included over thirty schools from Westchester and Putnam counties, marked the culmination of a three year science research program that Billy participated in at Croton-Harmon High School where he is a senior. The Science Research program at Croton-Harmon High School is under the direction of Garrison resident, Donna Light- Donovan.
Over the past three years, Billy worked with the National Basketball Association offices, specifically working with the Vice President of Basketball Operations. He researched three potential rule changes, accumulating baseline data for continued studies by the N.B.A. offices in Manhattan.
