Haldane Student Paul Richter Performs in All- Eastern Band

Paul Richter, a senior at Haldane High School, performed in the All-Eastern Honors Band on March 11th at the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Hartford, CT. The band performed pieces by Scott Boerma, Percy Grainger and Joel Pluckett, as well as Charles Ives' masterpiece "Variations on America." Professor Michael Haithcock, Band Director at the University of Michigan, conducted the ensemble.

Students in the All- Eastern band are selected from 11 states and the District of Columbia. Paul, a euphonium player, is the first Haldane student ever to be chosen for an All-Eastern ensemble.
