Scrapbooking Basics at Howland Library
Join Lydia Lynch for Scrapbooking Basics at the Howland Public Library, 313 Main Street, Beacon, on April 12, 6:30pm, in the Library's Community Room. Participants will have some creative fun as they explore the popular craft of scrapbooking. With handson demonstrations, you'll learn how to use a variety of papers, materials and embellishments to create unique pages that pop with personality and enhance your cherished memories.
No experience or special skills are required. Materials will be provided, but bring a few photos (duplicates, scanned or color copies are preferred if you have originals that are fragile or irreplaceable). Other personal mementos (or copies) such as ticket stubs, invitations, letters, etc., can also be used.
Lydia Lynch, owner of Paper Presence- Distinctive Stationary, 296 Main Street, Beacon, has a graphics design background and is a graduate of the Parsons School of Design in New York. She has been crafting with paper for over a decade, producing scrapbooks, handmade cards and ornaments, decoupage, collages and paper mache.
