Local Artist Eric Goerner Featured at West Point Class of 1929 Gallery
West Point's Class of 1929 Gallery will feature Hopewell Junction artist and painter, Eric Goerner. The exhibit opens with a Sunday afternoon reception on April 15th from 2 to 4pm, and runs until May 26th. To attend the reception, please RSVP to 845-938-2782 by April 6th.
This show will feature works highlighting the American west and the historic Hudson River Valley. Mr. Goerner's western paintings emphasize classic American vistas; the grandeur of "raw nature." His style aims to transport the viewer into the midst of breathtaking canyons and valleys. Conversely, Goerner's Hudson Valley works strive to preserve our treasured New York history.
The 1929 Gallery is located on Eisenhower Hall's 5th
floor, 1st balcony level and is open Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm, and
prior to theatre performances. Gallery admission is free. Additionally, after
meeting the artist during his April 15th gallery reception, come enjoy the USMA
Band at their 3pm Eisenhower Hall Ballroom youth soloist concert. Both events
are open to the public.
