James H. Delaney

James H. Delaney, age 60 of Beacon, died on Wednesday April 4, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie. Born in Cold Spring, NY on April 15, 1946, he was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Bocchino) Delaney. Mr. Delaney was a freelance tree and landscaper and his most recent employer was the Garrison Country Club. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Beacon.

He is survived by his children James H. Delaney, Jr. of Denver, CO and Deborah A. (Eric) Johnson of Beacon and his brothers Joseph Delaney of Garrison and Robert Delaney of Beacon. Four grandchildren, Candice and Brendan Delaney of San Diego, CA and Eric and Evan Johnson of Beacon also survive.

He was predeceased by his brother William Delaney and his sister Dorothy Gaines.

A private cremation has already taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday April 13, 2007 at Our Lady of Loretto Church 24 Fair St. Cold Spring, at 10am. Interment of ashes will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clinton Funeral Home, Cold Spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 1111 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage, NY 11714.
