Palm Sunday Blessing Joined Roman Catholic & Eastern Orthodox Christians
This year the Christian churches of the East and the West are celebrated Holy Week and Easter on the same days. In honor of this occasion, members of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church celebrated Holy Week festivities at Graymoor.
For Palm Sunday, Most Reverend Michael Champion, archbishop of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church (on left, in photo, joined Father James Gardiner, SA, director of the Graymoor Spiritual Life Center, in an ecumenical blessing of palms and willow branches and then led participants in a procession to their respective services - Sunday Eucharist in Pilgrim Hall and Divine Liturgy in Holy Spirit Chapel
