Tire-Slashing Incidents in Cold Spring Under Investigation

The Village of Cold Spring Police is investigating 2 separate incidents of criminal mischief to one Rock Street resident's vehicle tires. The first reported incident, believed to have possibly happened sometime during in the afternoon on March 23, the 2 passenger side tires on a Ford Escape were slashed. The second incident reportedly happened sometime between 9:30pm on March 27 and 5:50am on March 28.

In the 2nd incident, the same resident's Ford Escape's tires, which again was parked in his driveway and his grandson's Ford Pickup Truck's tires, which was parked in front of their residence, were all punctured. Later that afternoon a Main Street resident reported someone had made several large scratches on the windshield of his Dodge Caravan, which was parked in close proximity to the initial Rock Street resident's home.

This is an active investigation by the Village of Cold Spring Police, if anyone has any information related to this investigation they are requested to call 265-3407. All calls will remain confidential.
