April 13th Declared Drop Everything and Read Day
Join the entire Philipstown community including local government, businesses, friends and neighbors and read on Friday, April 13th between 9am and 9:30am for Haldane PTA's Drop Everything and Read (DEAR). DEAR is a national program designed to encourage reading by elementary students.
To emphasize the importance of this program, Senator Vincent Leibell will visit Haldane Elementary School to read to students during the 30- minute reading break. Funded in part by a grant from Target, Haldane PTA has coordinated DEAR as part of the Parents as Reading Partners K-5 program.
