Opening Day Festivities Set for PV Baseball Association Parade

Close to 400 marchers are expected to parade from the Putnam Valley Elementary School into the Leonard Wagner Memorial Town Park this Saturday at high noon. Members of the Putnam Valley Baseball Association and P.V. Parks & Recreation Department have organized the parade and barbeque for participants in its spring baseball leagues for youths between the ages of 4- 11. Organizers have requested that marchers be dropped off at the elementary school between 11 and 11:30am in an effort to get the festivities started on time. A fire and ambulance escort is expected to lead the brigade into the park where families will await the arrival. Minor League games will follow the festivities at 3pm.

Anyone looking to assist this massive undertaking should contact PVBA Commissioner Ray Gallagher at 845-526- 3292.
