Saunders History Contest Award Ceremony to be Held at the Putnam County Historical Society Local seventh graders to be honored
Students, parents, family, and friends are invited to attend the 2007 Jean Saunders History Contest Awards Ceremony on Thursday, April 26 at the Putnam County Historical Society & Foundry School Museum. Come learn about local history and celebrate the achievements of Philipstown 7th-graders!
This year, 31 students from Cold Spring and Garrison participated in the annual contest for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place as well as the Scenic Hudson Young Explorer's Award. The projects, which include posters, models, power-point presentations and a website will be on view, followed by the awards ceremony at 7pm.
This year, they are honored to have the awards given out by Donald H. MacDonald, Philipstown Historian, and Susan Hereth from Scenic Hudson. The event will be held at the Putnam County Historical Society & Foundry School Museum, 63 Chestnut Street in Cold Spring. For more information, please call 265-4010, ext. 12.
