Sailing Classes Offered by Beacon Sloop Club
Learn the basics of sailing in a classroom situation and then become a member of the crew on the "Woody Guthrie," historic wooden replica of a gaff-rigged Hudson River Sloop, to get your hands-on experience.
The class meets once a week on Thursday evenings, beginning May 13th and finishing on June 21st. Classes run from 7-9pm. Cost is $50. They furnish a textbook for you to keep.
Classes will be held at the Beacon Sloop Club, a wooden, shingled building at the river's edge across from the Beacon Train Station.
