Putnam Highlands Audubon Society Annual Dinner was Held at Taconic Center

Andy Revkin in discussion at the Putnam Highlands Audubon Annual Dinner
Andy Revkin, Science Reporter for the New York Times ended the heavily attended March 31 Putnam Highlands Audubon dinner with a controversial discussion over whether global warming is a crisis. The discussion included the current impact of weather patterns on poor countries.

The Sixth Annual dinner at the Taconic Outdoor Education Center was so popular, it was oversubscribed. Guests enjoyed the rustic environment, a delicious buffet dinner prepared by the TOEC, and winning chirping, stuffed Audubon birds after identifying birds from Audubon descriptions. Andy, who graciously donated his profits from the sale of his books to the PHAS remained to autograph his latest book, The North Pole Was Here and to chat with the attendees.

The Putnam Highlands Audubon Society wants to express special thanks to Cathryn's Tuscan Grill, The Riverview and Café Maya for their contribution of prizes to the evening's raffle.
